2nd Chuck Palahniuk book I’ve tried. Both DNF. His writing is not for me. I find the books so SLOW!

This book started off a little slow for me. I wasn't enjoying it much or following the story until almost 200 pages in. Despite this I'm glad that I kept reading and finished the books. The story progressed nicely and the short stories gave insight into each character. Not my favorite, but a good read and a clever way of writing.

How to sum up my feelings? I’m not sure, i’m uncomfortable, weirded out and slightly shaken and i absolutely love it.
It’s really hard for me to be weirded out or disgusted, i’ve seen some shit... and when i heard that people were fainting after reading Guts I knew I needed to check this baby out and oh my god i’m so happy i did.
This book didn’t change my life or anything, but boy did it make me uncomfortable. I was on the edge of my seat while reading this and that never happens.

It is not for everyone, it probably isn’t for most people, but if you want to read something really disturbing, this is it. It’s weird, it’s funny in the wrong way and that’s why it is so good.

Four stars for me and a sure re-read in the future
