Worth reading just for Guts, probably one of the grossest stories I have ever read. I still think about it years later.

All it really is, is shock factor and I don't mind, but some people might mind.

Loved the first few stories but the longer the book went on the less scary it was. Still a very interesting concept, just thought there would be more from the way it was hyped up to me.

I decided to reread some Palahniuk and god knows why I decided to start here.
Horrifying in all the ways his writing normally is, but also persistently dialled up to 11.
I read this first as a teenager and when I tell you that the swimming pool scene did me such psychological damage that it seared itself into my brain in such a way that I've never been able to wipe it from memory. It's as clear as the day I read it and I hate in a way I don't have words for lol.
I'm still going back to my other favourites but woof this one was a rough start to my skip down memory lane

Come for the Guts, stay for the whole damn ride!
This book is about writers procrastinating, doing literally ANYTHING to not have to write. Chores, cutting off fingers, keeping the furnace broken, ya know. Any writer myself included relates (don't lie. Tell me in a comment the wildest thing you've ever done to delay writing).
Seriously though, I loved so many of the stories and the overall way they were all tied together. I loved Product Placement and Obsolete.
