Was interesting but very slow and the narrative gets stuck a lot.

Voice actor was amazing, even if she did mispronounce Haverhill the whole time. The story was so good because of her reading of it. Overall, a very nice horror listen.

That was one HELL of a good ride. All puns intended. My deep dislike of Christmas music is intensified. Well done. :)

This book was very captivating and well written. I loved the concept!

I absolutely loved this book, with all my twisted little heart. I wanted to go back and read it again as soon as I finished it, I didn't want to leave its world behind me. Joe Hill signs his best work to date and wow, what a trip it is!! I have to admit that the ending did feel a bit rushed and some characters did not quite get the spectacular finish I was hoping for... but honestly, that was a minor annoyance next to the ridiculous amount of fun I had while reading NOS4A2. I already cannot wait for Joe Hill's next story.

I've truly enjoyed the company of Vic McQueen, a phenomenally strong and interesting female lead.

The book has this decompressed feel, but is never slow. The way it builds the story of Vic's life is fantastic. One could argue it could have been told I a shorter way, but I doubt it would have been as rewarding.

My only criticism would be on the way the author develops Victoria's relationship with the "men of her life" towards the end. It felt slightly "disempowering", although I'm sure that wasn't his intention.

Nevertheless, a very entertaining book. Looking forward to the next one, Mr. Hill!

Seriously creepy! Very Lovecraftian.
