This was way too repetitive for it to be soooo long. The rhymes were forced but most of it made sense, at least.
I recently watched season one of True Detective and imagining Rust Cohle writing this after all he'd learned made it extremely fun for me, but I still don't like this book very much. I'll recommend Greenlights while I'm here, though. The man is a storyteller, there's just no story here.

Alternates between making no sense at all and being heavy-handed. The illustrator did their best, but the text is fundamentally unsalvageable.
