This is by far my least favourite Perry book ever. The writing was great but I wasn't a fan of the plot. Student/teacher is not my thing. I didn't like either of the main characters and also really didn't like their names. I did really enjoy the side plot of Rush Ramsey and I cannot wait for Rally to come out. Other people will enjoy this, it just wasn't my cup of tea!

I had to start this the second I finished coach. I fell in love with this series after the first book. Blitz is just as good and I’m in love with this story. Jennsyn and Toren were amazing. The angst?? I was hooked from the start. There were so many cute moments, each character showing so each other how to show up, be vulnerable, and allow themselves to be cherished in their own way. I loved the tropes in this book as well. The age gap, neighbor, couch, and athlete. (He is not her coach) I was just hooked in right away. I loved Jennsyn, I related to her story and having a hard time trusting, and making friends. On top of that she was willing to figure out what she wanted and I think that was really beautiful to unravel. I love toren with my whole heart. I loved this book and when I got to the end I just wanted more.

3🌶️  I really enjoy the world of the wildcats. I loved Toren when we met him in Coach, I was so excited to see his story play out. I thought the timeline was perfect. Seeing some of the event during coach from Torens POV was a fun way to bring us back to what was happening with Ford and Millie. His chemistry with Jennsyn was undeniable too. I was honestly so sad for them when they found out who the other was. The tension was tensioning and the burn was so slow and Ioved it. Watching Jennsyn open up to Toren was sweet. And it was so sad she couldn't do that with her teammates. Sadly though this age gap just wasn't believable. Not even because of the gap more of where Jennsyn was in her life. I would've liked better if we could've seen her try to find herself and then come back to Toren. This one has probably been my least favorite Devney read but I can't wait to see what she does with Rush Ramsay's story!

Loved the angst and forbidden romance aspect throughout the book, but the ending was so rushed. The build up was wrapped up so quickly that it felt like I had missed a whole chunk of the book. Disappointing ending for the fact that the first 85% was really quite good!!

I liked the plot and was even thinking that I might've liked this than the first book until I got into the conflict. I feel like it's a bit of a let down (like that was the reason FR?) and then suddenly it's the epilogue. Also, they spent so much time together but still sucked at communicating. Okay, bye.
