This was a great read and fascinating to hear the story from Jim/James perspective. Obviously parts of the story were difficult to listen to and the subject matter was overall very serious but hearing James’ inner monologue and they way he navigated the world as a slave, and worked to survive, was incredibly interesting. 

I found myself wishing I remembered Huck’s story more when I was reading this, but I don’t think NOT remembering took away from it at all. 

Was not expecting the twist towards the end and the ending was SO SATISFYING. Chefs kiss for all of part three🤌🏼
