Well, I just finished this book and I seriously don't have words to describe it. This was one of the most immersive, emocional and realistic books I've ever read.
A lot of people I follow had already read this book and everyone always says wonderful things about it and when I had to choose a book to present in class I thought: " Why don't I read and present this one?"
This was a really good decision because this book was AMAZING. I recommend it to everyone because the book is so well written (I read it in Portuguese and the translation was very good) and the story is just so captivating and it makes you wonder about a lot of things you believe in and whether your right or wrong.

I read this for my literature class this semester and I really loved this story. I love how it opens with the pair of flying kites in the sky. I knew from the beginning that I was really going to enjoy this book. The story was so sad and beautiful. It really takes you into a setting of Afghanistan that I don't think I've ever read something from. It really makes you think about what was going on in Afghanistan at this period of time but because they're Afghanis they get grouped at least in a lot of ways as being of Taliban.
The reason I can't give it the full 5 stars is that Amir really got on my nerves at points and I think that he was being really selfish at times. Baba too. And Assef is a horrible person.
But I really loved this book so much.
