Reason #438 why I don't like large bodies of water. This is insane, I think I'd be the buddy who dies two months in because I can't tolerate it. I can't imagine how messed up he would be after such stress. This is really well told and I'm thankful for tortillas.

A phenomenal story but a terrible writer. Alvarenga deserved better. I wish Laura Hillenbrand had written it instead.

Truly remarkable story but a less than thrilling book. Super easy ready that just doesn’t get to the depth of survival I was expecting in a story like this.

A fisherman gets pushed out to sea in a storm and then drifts thousands of miles. An amazing story of survival. It is truly amazing what a human can endure.

This is one of the most incredible and amazing stories I’ve ever heard. I can’t stop thinking about it and what those poor men went through. It’s unbelievable and incredibly inspiring. It’s a story of resilience, mental and physical strength, fortitude, creativity, self talk, determination and absolutely unbelievable endurance. There’s no way to give this anything less than 5 stars. Wow.
