I enjoyed The Love Hypothesis but I enjoyed this one ever more.
I love that we immediately open with some plot and tension. Not every contemporary romance actually has a plot outside of the romance, and so for that I am grateful.
And the romance…I ate it up. He’s stand offish and she thinks he hates her but he’s actually in love with her but thinks she’s married and has been pining for years whilst unknowingly talking to her online?? 🥰🥰🥰🥰. They’re adorable. They’re both also likeable. The side characters were also great.
Overall I read this in three days because I had no desire to need to put it down.

Such a disappointing read and by far Hazlewood’s weakest work in my opinion. Levi’s behaviour for the first half of the book as an ADULT man was so bizarre to me. The writing and characters were sooo cheesy. Confused by the sudden mystery twist at the end? Felt so out of place. I think this book has made be realise that Hazlewood has grown a lot as an author, as I adore her newer books and she’s still an auto buy author for me. Just so glad I didn’t read this and the love hypothesis first otherwise I wouldn’t have given her another chance!
This one had like a crazy plot twist but I liked it. It wasn't as good as love, theoretically. But it was still very enjoyable and easy to read.
