5 stars⭐️ Enjoyed this heaps more than ACOTAR. The night court, velaris plus Rhysand and co made it for me. Feyre was also far less irritating in this one (but she definitely still had her moments iykyk)

Wow- this book was a whirlwind in the best way. After book 1, I was skeptical that this series would live up to the hype, but it got soooooooo good!!!! So much more character development and world building and plot in this one than the first one. I loved getting to know the world of Velaris and the characters of Rhysand, Mor, Cassian, Amren, and Azriel along with Feyre. Can’t wait to read the next one!!

As Abby Lee Miller famously said: “You were good. I’m waiting for you to be great.”

Like ToG, this book took a complete 180. I loved the development of every character, the intricacies of the plot, and obviously the romance. If you’re on the fence or felt meh after ACOTAR, definitely read this book before deciding to quit the series. Changed my entire opinion and I will definitely continue with the series.
