The Third Day, the Frost by John Marsden

The third installment in the Tomorrow series, this one is the most action packed so far.
Ellie and her teenaged friends are still in the thick of everything after their country is invaded while they were away on a camping trip in the Australian bush.

The group plans and executes a daring sabotage mission hoping to cripple the invaders access to their town.

I find myself often comparing this series to the movie Red Dawn...it has many similarities and has the same feel. A group of teenagers turned warriors facing seemingly insurmountable odds in a fight for their lives.

I've noticed a lot of reviews talking about the unbelievableness (not really a word but it fits) of teenagers being able to do what this group does. But I find the story somewhat believable - would it happen this way, probably not but it could and part of the fun of reading a story such as this is the suspension of disbelief.

Marsden you are a bad person. You killed my favourite character. How could you? You have no soul. But the book is amazing, so much better than the other two.

I think this is getting worse as it goes on but im too invested. Im glad to see that the fast pacing blew up in their faces, even though obviously they made it out. No shock to anyone robyn? died imo i felt it coming
