Overall, I would say the story was interesting. I feel like the beginning was really good, but the end dragged a little bit. I was ready for it to be over. I am so glad that Minnie found herself and learned a bit of self-worth. I feel like we focused a little too much on Lela but overall I don’t think I would recommend this to anyone, and I think the reviews hyped it up.

I loved this book! I loved Minnie. I loved Quinn. I loved everyone in this book. Such a feel good book with depth. Now I want to go bake a meat pie.

this was such a cute read for this time of year. i really enjoyed it and watching the characters grow as the story progressed.

This took me forever to read. Mainly because it was a bit boring and nothing happened for a lot of it. Verrrrrry slow to build.

The premise was cute, I liked the chapters alternating between different New Year’s Eves, but it was just kind of a bland and predictable rom com. Woman child cutesy adorable clumsy girl meets hot rich man with commitment issues? I’ve read this a time or two. They both often got on my nerves. I liked their banter and found myself smiling at their conversations, but the chemistry wasn’t flying off the page for me. I wanted more spark and way more payoff in the end.

I did like the mental health themes in the book, dealing with Q’s mother, but overrall the parents were all awful to read about, leaving most of the side character to be just kind of there with no purpose. It’s like she took every rom com ever and threw characters in from You’ve Got Mail, and 27 dresses, and Bridget Jones, to hit all the marks.

Not my favorite.

3.5 rounding up. I wish there was more to the ending. It seemed rather abrupt.

I’d probably give this a 3.5. It does make me think…how many times have we encountered people who later turned out to be a big part of our lives?

I guess I was really hoping for more from this book. I ended up struggling to finish it due to the way it was written. Between the switching between past and present, it was hard for me to stay interested in it and I found my stopping points to be extremely often where as usually a book of this length I can finish in 2 days if I’m truly engulfed in it.
