This was a cute little book to start the year! Much of this book is focused on New Year's Eve so it was a fun January read.
Although I could predict how this was going to end, I still enjoyed the journey of getting there. My heart hurt for Minnie and I was rooting for her throughout the whole novel! Although most of this book takes place in the present day and in a typical day-to-day structure, I liked that there were a few chapters of the past that showed how Minnie and Quinn have been connected throughout their lives. I also enjoyed the cast of supporting characters in this book! Minnie's best friend was endearingly quirky and I was happy that they had a positive, supporting friendship rather than a competitive one.
I'd recommend this to anyone looking for a light, rom-com type of book with a little bit of quirk.

3 stars rounded up? idk, took me a hot second to get through which is also a sign. picked it up for a New Years themed book which it did hit the mark on. other than that, wasn’t huge on the romance factor, also went through the MC finding herself. i debating DNF-ing around 50% and I wish I did
