Bumped to 5 stars because of the Ratatouille movie reference!
Just okay.
It seemed long. And I had a hard time believing that the main characters were 30 years old business owners. Their dialog and behaviour seemed wildly immature to me.

i lied, i didn't wanna finish it. i kept thinking about how i wanted the male lead and female lead to have more scenes, how i knew more about layla and ian and the side characters than anyone else. the pie shop closure didn't make sense, a bunch of shit made no sense. it's a ridiculous slow burn with what seems like 0 payout even at 80%.
a shame because i really liked the beginning

A story about two characters born on New year's day seemed like a fitting read for the new year. This was a cute and enjoyable read, a good detox from 2020.
A lovely light easy read. Lovely characters and a very pleasant Sunday afternoon spent getting to know them
Had a tiny bit of a hard time getting into this one, but then I was thoroughly entertained. Definitely a fun rom-com listen. Definitely a predictable ending. But isn't that what you want?!
