Wonderful, well-written book loaded with suspense and intrigue. As the book progressed I had to keep rethinking what twist the author possibly could throw in next. Lacy is a strong and intelligent woman who has been raised with the knowledge her father’s profession as an international arms dealer put her life in jeopardy. They had secret protocols and kept her true identity a secret.

When she is kidnapped along with Logan after one of her dad’s security is killed, she keeps thinking and trying to take steps to get herself out of danger. She and Logan have one hair raising adventure escaping from the kidnappers and getting themselves to safety only to keep finding themselves in dangerous predicaments.

While they are running for their lives the attraction both of them have felt for years as legal adversaries ignite. The attraction is intense and both realize they love the other, but their lives are still at risk and they don’t always know who they can trust.

This was an intense read and until the very end I wasn’t sure what was going to happen and whether a HEA was going to be possible.

I enjoyed this book a little more then the 1st one. I really liked learning more about Logan. Discovering he’s not his hard lawyer with nothing else inside. The chemistry between Logan and Lacey was strong. It did feel like they were running for their lives the whole book, which they seriously were. It got to be a lot of the same suspense. Does that make sense? Constantly on the run, constantly running into the bad guys and escaping. Through it all they kept their heads on and were able to get out of it. I’m just hoping the next book isn’t exactly like this one but I’m a little worried by the description it will be. 2 people running from people trying to kidnap/kill them and ultimately falling in bed together. I might put it on hold for a bit so I don’t feel like I’m reading the exact same story.
