A novella set in the world of the Astrid Lethewood duology (Indigo Springs and Blue Magic).

I found it an interesting read. It doesn't give us characters that we know, but I think that is fine. It gives us a glance into what it was like to those people that became contaminated by magic. Maybe I would have liked a bit more of an overview of the world after the events of Indigo Springs, and in places I felt the flasbacks could have been deepened out or smoothed out better. Sometimes I felt like where is the rest of this flashback?
