This one was a little more teen read but still enjoyable.

Really a magical series. Actual rating 4.5 stars. I enjoyed this immensely, and Havenfall was the kind of book that you can’t stop thinking about. Phoenixflame was a really great read. The only problem was that the end dragged a bit. I listened to this as an audiobook and the narrator was great. Over all I would recommend this to a younger YA audience. I still really enjoyed it and will be recommending to friends and family

I loved the concept of Havenfall, but this sequel had a few things that irritated me. Mostly that Brekken had a personality transplant halfway through and Maddie kept making really dumb decisions / not able to make any decisions at all after being a much more capable and active protagonist in the first book.

But I'm still keen to find out how everything turns out for Havenfall if there are more books to come!

I love books in which there is a place that exists between our reality and a world we know nothing of, be it magical or extraterrestrial, the Innkeeper series is a wonderful example of this, and this series has this so i was looking forward to reading it. I wish we could have explored the other worlds connected to the Inn more, but i quite enjoyed this book, exlporing the place that connects worlds, magic and the slow reveal of the mystious goings on that our heroine is looking into in this book and book 1.

3.5 stars! I think the story could do with more detail and development. With such a short story I found there to be a big much going on. I wish it was just a bit longer and delved into more details and thoughts
