It was good, I thought the twist was good. I liked the characters. I really liked that the author was an actual astronaut.
So after reading Atmosphere, I decided I’m in my astronaut era and had to read this next. Unfortunately, I think I’m just not the right demographic for this book. You can tell Chris Hadfield has been to space, and I love that for him. What I don’t love is paragraphs long of descriptions of how a signal transmits from earth to the moon. Like respectfully, I haven’t taken science past grade 10, idk what’s going on. Also it’s a third person pov that switches way too often and I really couldn’t keep all these man scientists straight. No one is really likeable. I don’t know who I was supposed to really be rooting for (America, I guess??? But this is sci-fi, not fantasy, let’s be real). Also there was an astronaut named Chad. I think that really says all that needs to be said. Read atmosphere, not this, unless you are an engineer. Named Chad.

This was a fun plot to explore. Some parts were kind of hard to follow. My favorite thing about this was that based on who the author is, i knew that there were no scientific errors, even when i thought there were (sorry, i can't think of any examples now). I fully defer to the author's expertise
