Review to come.

This was a great read despite being way out of the normal genres that I read.

This is an action thriller where the main character is reimagined after the devastating loss of his seal team and the new team is tasked with revenge. The ultimate assignment occurs when there is an attack on the New York headquarters of the United Nations.
There are descriptions of really upscale equipment and vehicles that are at the disposal of the new team.

Really enjoyed this book. It read similar to a Jack Carr novel which I enjoy.

slow beginning and middle, good ending

Fast and furious with pauses for info.

At the beginning I found the start - stop action in this volume a little annoying. But I realised quite quickly that to appreciate the events and characters background information was vital. The tempo increased dramatically as the story unfolded and I was compelled to binge-read to get to the exciting conclusion.

The beginning of this book is exciting. The authors definitely know what they are talking about, and the pain that the protagonist feels from being shot is visceral—you feel it yourself as a reader.

The authors use a ridiculous amount of acronyms, and because I was reading this via ebook, I didn’t realize there was a glossary of terms at the end. The use of jargon made things sound authentic, but it communicated nothing to me, a civilian.

The book is 98 percent action and 2 percent character. If you’re just looking for an action book, this is well written for that genre. However, because there was almost no character development, I didn’t really care about whether the characters succeeded in their goal—even if they were trying to save American lives. For that reason, this is a forgettable book that’s frankly not even that enjoyable to read.

I have heard a lot about this series so I thought I would try it. It wasn't the best I have read but not the worst. It took quite some time to get into the story but two thirds into it it took off. The last third was good enough so I will try more. Hopefully the authors will stop putting the words Tier One on every page like they did in this.

Recently re read this and still love this as the start of a series. Well rounded characters and plenty of plot to keep you interested. Only thing I'd say is having an actual book would make flipping back and forth from the acronym glossary a lot easier than on kindle!

This was a good listen. The story was good, the characters were interesting enough that I will borrow #2 once I get a few others read.
