vtn masterfully weaves the personal with the political in this emotional memoir. his deliberate uses of and experimenting with storytelling perspectives is intriguing, reflecting his interpersonal conflicts with telling a story that is both not his and his. the theme of re memberance and dis memberance is especially thought provoking and moving.

(note: i do not quite understand why this book has been tagged as funny)

Deeply obsessed with the structure of this book.

I also just really love his exploration of memory, identity, and family since I could often see myself in it. His sections on how Asians are represented in media also just really hit.
