Love, Creekwood by Becky Albertalli

Becky Albertalli has given the world its first Simonverse novella and it is epistolary to boot! It starts with an email from Simon, followed by Bram's response, but then... Then I read Leah's first letter and even though it is to Simon (not Abby) her voice is so genuine, so Leah-esque that I knew right there on page four that I was going to love this book. And I did. It has Simon and Bram, but it also has Abby and Leah and they may very well be my new favorite YA couple.

I love that Albertalli donated 100% of the advance for this book to the Trevor Project. In big ways and small she is constantly stepping it up and redefining what a true ally is... and from what I hear there is a lot more she does behind the scenes as well.

Now excuse me while I go bask in the literary afterglow of the Valentine's Day Bingo, which nudged the Ferris Wheel scene and has taken center stage in my mind. The Valentine's Day scene that resulted in one of the characters wondering if their best friend's social media account was hacked.

Does this feel a little pointless at times? A bit, but that does not mean that it's not enjoyable to see where your favorites end up after their stories.

I was expecting another amazing book, like the others in the series. This was just e-mails and did not meet my expectations.

Kinda boring, totally unnecessary and left me thinking: why does this exist? Apart from the obvious money grabbing reason.
The whole book is them whining about missing each other, and that’s basically it. I did enjoy some characters though, and I did smile a few times

Finally one of my libraries had this one! I have been eyeing it for a while. This one is a short novella featuring our cast from earlier books. I loved Bram/Simon's exchanges though I was a bit worried about them at times (given the long distance). And yes, at times it felt like we missed something because we only see mails. BUT I still enjoyed this one and had fun seeing what they were up to in college/how they were doing. It was a quick read and I am happy with this novella. Now can we please just have a full book with Bram and Simon again. No Leah please.

-1 star because it contains Leah... and everyone knows my feelings on her.
-0.5 star as Abby and Leah just feel very not fitting and I was way happier when Abby was with someone else.
