This feels like off-brand Harry Potter. To write a whole storyline around time travel, which is a relatively insignificant part of the 7 book universe, felt a bit cheap like they needed something cool to make the story exciting. The characters are also written in a way that they don’t even seem like the same people from the original series. The one redeeming thing for me was bringing Snape back and giving him a few pages where people knew where his true allegiance lay, even if it was in an alternate time line.
Definitely, feeling nostalgic and travelling back(no pun intended) to when I was a kid/ teenager while reading about the characters that I grew up with.
I enjoyed it because it was another adventure with The old clan.

Been hooked from the first page even though I cant picture any of the characters with the new cast. I still imagine Watson as Hermione, Radcliffe as Harry, even Felton as Draco. However, I wonder how this script was performed on stage - with various settings and everything. Wouldn't mind to see how it works as a play.
Yeah... I'm going to forget this ever happened. I ❤️ scorpius malfoy though.
Albus was a little jerk.
Where was Ron?
Everyone was the worst version of themselves (Rose, Hermione, and Harry were awfully mean at times).
Ginny was pretty great though. And Draco!
Ron & Neville hanging out was awesome.
Can we just leave Cedric alone?
I hate time traveling...

The story grew on me as it progressed, though it did seem a bit messy and all over the place at times. I have NO IDEA how they could do this on stage.

Magical! I can read plays like seeing them. Maybe it's a gift but I just loved this book and thought the story was great. It was amazing to see Harry, Hermione and Ron grown up and also to realise that it's not always black and white with the introduction of Scorius and Albus. And so good to hear from Dumbledore again!
To be honest despite all the negative reviews I've seen, I actually enjoyed this. It has been compared to Harry Potter fanfiction but I don't see the problem with that. For me, it was a fun read and I could get immersed into the world. Of course I've knocked it down a star because at some elements it did go over the top and ridiculous but the series has actually been like that for the most part. I'm now just looking forward to seeing it on the stage which I'm sure is spectacular.
