Read this book in one sitting. It was well written. I was a little worried since Rowling wasn't the main author. It was well done. I like the novel format better than this script format but the story was good.
I literally don't know how to feel yet. Finished the book before noon on the 31st to avoid spoilers, and it was the weirdest, WEIRDEST reading experience of my life, for so many reasons.

disclaimer- jk rowling deserves the worst
this book felt like a fan fiction. the characters were pretty superficial, snape was portrayed the worst of all.
hermione not able to become minister for magic because of an alternative timeline where she doesn’t end up with ron are you KIDDING?? do we know how misogynistic this is???
it’s probably not even worth 2* but the comfort the HP series brings impacts my rating.

I wasn't sure how I felt about the story being written as a play instead of as a novel, but I don't think it took away from the story at all. Then again, I have always enjoyed reading plays just as much as novels.
Reading about Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Draco as adults was something I loved. I did miss having Neville and Luna in the story. I always enjoyed their additions to the adventures, but at least we still had McGonagall.
I don't want to give too much away for those who haven't read the book, but Albus Potter sure does take after Harry. I did feel bad for Albus and Scorpious in regards to the way they are treated by other students at Hogwarts. I can't believe Rose, Albus's own cousin, even joined in teasing the boys.
Onto to the topic of Draco Malfoy. As mean as Draco could be when he was a teenager, I always did have a weak spot for him and hope that he would leave his family's dark ways behind. Needless to say, I was happy to see that Draco grew up well and truly loves his son.
I think one of my favorite parts in the story was the short little remark Draco made to Hermione when they were trying to save Albus and Scorpious.
"DRACO: Hermione Granger, I'm being bossed around by Hermione Granger. (She turns towards him. He smiles.) And I'm mildly enjoying it."
I love Ron and Hermione together, but I was never opposed to the idea of Hermione and Draco as couple. I could have seen Hermione being really good for Draco, but it seems he found his own Hermione after all. It was terribly unfair that he only had a little time with her. Draco did seem to always get the short end of the stick.

I really really enjoyed this. I wish I read this much sooner. It felt so nice to be transported back to Hogwarts and a new part I hadn't read/watched. It was cheesy at times and I feel as though the main characters weren't like the ones from the films/ OG books but I'll take it. I wish there was more Neville and Luna. It worked so well as a play and I recommend everyone to read this if you like Harry Potter.
my favorite part was when the trolley witch grew claws and jumped on top of the hogwarts express
