I’m sobbing. What a gut wrenching and beautiful book, and reading this in the wake of the election made it hit so much harder. Great characters, great pacing, and I loved that it kept jumping back and forth in time.

I liked the story but found the writing style with the jumping time frames to be distracting. It could gave been more powerful in my opinion if told chronological.
