An unpopular girl working in a casino as a housekeeper stumbles across a mystery in suite 808.

The ghost story told by the main character’s uncle really set the stage for something gripping, however I did feel that it was missing something.

It may be because majority of plot/action happened off page. The plot has such an important message behind it, but in order to bring out more emotions (atleast for me) there needs to be more show than tell.

This after Killers of the Flower Moon was such a gut punch. The shifting timeline per chapter can be a little confusing at first, but ultimately it works well for a story like this.

My only complaint is the going back and forth in time. It undercuts the tension.
