This story interweaves not only the missing persons cases, but also native myths and legends, internalized imperialism, and other every day horrors such as bullying.
The story is fast-paced and the real-world monsters give an extra layer of terror for both the characters and the reader. While one mystery is solved, the others are left open, as so many are irl.

A dark and moving story that pulls from experiences across reservations. My only complaint is the nonlinear timeline got confusing at times but other than that would recommend people check this book out.
