This was not as funny as the others, and had more political and advertising jargon, less story, it seemed to me (until maybe the end). My religious conviction is that women should not be ruling or working outside the home, so all the characters rooting for the woman mayor was not too thrilling to me (though the other candidate wasn't, either).

05.2011 Number four, continuing on. I just can't say how much I love these books. Simplicity. Love. Heartache. Stress. Worry. Blessings of God in the midst of everything. If you haven't read this series, you should!
06.2013 Loved it all over again. Now I have to get my hands on the next one.... ;)

* AUDIOBOOK *
This book feels a lot more cohesive than some of her other installments. There is a general, overarching plot. As always, I appreciate Karon not shying away from hard topics even while writing cozy novels about small town mountain life. Karon writes about faith in a way that is very grounded, making it feel like something all of us have an opportunity to experience. It makes me hopeful.

Another delightful trip to Mitford. This series is the most relaxing set of page-turners that I have ever read.
More of a good vs. bad theme to this one and quite captivating. Father Tim is more stressed than ever as Mitford and his life begin to see change. Another sucess for author Karon as she delves us into the world of the fictional NC town of Mitford. Always a quick read as you want to know what happens and always pleased when you get to the end. Karon knows what she is doing to get you to read the whole series!
Another great story of the little town of Mitford. It amazing how someone can hit every emotion in one book. I am eager to read the rest of this series and then start over again.
