I liked the idea of the book regarding a loveless arranged marriage and then falling in love with each each other the last year. I also was interested in the topic of how women are expected to keep appearance up, act certain way(s), say certain things, not have partners or see anyone on the side, etc. But the man is allowed to do whatever the heck he wants to do without any consequences to his actions.
The female character was hard to like. I understand she was under a contract and was made to do and act certain ways/things. But gosh, I can only take so much complaining about life. Let's not even go into how FMS was pissed about her best friend being done with her since FMC wouldn't try to get away from her parents and her unloving husband....

i was a little hesitant about reading this since i kept seeing the author post about it all over tik tok considering the last time i did that. buttt i actually really enjoyed it, and it was a cute refreshing romance.

Surprisingly good. I did not expect the realistic aspects of such silly tropes (arrange/fake marriage trope, etc.,), but it was really good. Very cool dialogue between two characters who both have very shitty parents.
