La verdad que esta fue más una lectura para contexto que otra cosa así que no esperaba mucho de nada. Entiendo el apego que le tiene mucha gente pero no es mi caso, no me interesaba mucho de chica, no lo hizo de grande y después de leerlo no tengo más que una impresión bastante neutra. Lo que encuentro es que me interesa mucho más los trabajos derivados de la idea de Oz... pero también por eso quise leerlo, para tener el contexto original en que tantas cosas se basan/ inspiran.
Pensandolo para niñes ( que es lo que es jajaj) creo que es una historia que está buena. Capítulo a capítulo se introducen nuevos desafíos, es una historia simple sobre cómo uno es capaz de hacer las cosas y cómo uno suele ya tener adentro lo que necesita. Este narrador hace buen trabajo en esta grabación, se le entiende muy claro, hace inflexiones de voz que creo pueden estar buenas para niñes y no es una grabación larga y dividida por capítulos

This went so fast. Like too fast. I wish I had gotten some more detail or there was a bit more emotional depth to Dorothy's story. This was still fun and I enjoyed going throughout Oz. I loved how whenever they were going to have to leave someone behind they were like oh well, nothing to be done about it. How callous! The Wizard was not as big of a fake as I remembered. Do I read the 13 sequels? I now want to watch Wicked and Wicked 2.
Sadly pretty boring. Movie is better………

I absolutely disliked this book. None of the characters are relatable or interesting. This book has no particularly surprising things or not enough death or sadness in it. It is just about a girl who was blown away by a tornado and tried to find a witch to fix her and her friend's problems. Like you could predict, no one dies so that you feel sad, and they all get what they want at the end. I would say that the plot was good, but you could tell that the book was fantasy. In a good fantasy book, you know deep down that it is fantasy but as you read, you get the feeling that the stuff in the book is actually happening. I wanted that to happen, but unfortunately, that did not happen.
A few weeks later, I tried to read another book in this series and ended with the same thoughts circling around my head.
I understand that this is a children's book, but with a child old enough to understand the plot and understand imagination, there should be a little more depth in the book. It won't hurt is all I am saying.
I promise/hope that if you really liked and enjoyed this book, you will never have to read my review ever again.
