This was a light entertaining story. I did find the writing a touch clunky at times, and was leaning toward not continuing the series, but the epilogue piqued my interest enough that I'm undecided again.
There's really no content to speak of aside from general danger and violence, unless you have concerns about somewhat 'realistic' magic. There is a passing reference to a 'dalliance' that resulted in Nick's younger brother, but no detail. The violence does include a brief torture scene, and despite the light tone of the book, there are some other dark/creepy scenes, so probably not recommend for very young/sensitive readers.
