Fantastic! Much relatable content about growing up in a working class family. We are each greater than the sum of our parts. And, this holds up as well when it comes to family as a whole.
I have adored Chris for as long as I can remember. I will go out of my way to watch things I wouldn't otherwise be interested in, just because he is in them. And while his Doctor Who days were a shadowed time in his life, they were a pivotal time in mine and he will always be *my* Doctor. This book was amazing. I laughed, I cried. I learned things about a man/actor I've adored for years. I don't generally go out of my way to read or listen to biographies of any kind, but when I heard about his I knew I had to, and I will never be sad that I did.

This is quite the autobiography. Christopher Eccleston is open with his life and the troubles he has experienced in a way I don't think I've ever encountered before, in person or in a work of literature. His complete comfort with talking about mental health and his father's deterioration should be hugely admired and emulated. I came in with an open curiosity and I'm finishing this book feeling better educated and hugely more understanding. Thanks.

Really candid and emotional memoir. He seems like a real decent, principled, and down-to-earth kind of guy. Would recommend a read.
