without a doubt, the BEST horror novel i’ve ever read & definitely one of my favorite books of all time. i want to talk to everyone about it. not since the babadook have i been so moved/mindfucked by horror — just WOW. perhaps my roman empire???

This was intense. First, please look at trigger warnings because this story deals with a lot of deep, dark topics. That being said, I really enjoyed this. Look back on your childhood fears and apply them to your adult life, make sure to give them some steroids to "beef" up those fears and then throw in a 5yo child and an actress/waitress that is floundering through her 20s. Definitely not your, slasher style horror but there are scenes that will make you squirm and you are guaranteed to be uncomfortable. - Well done, Nat Cassidy.
