Interesting and informative. A bit losing the path with lots of other things happening elsewhere. Unfortunately, there is much more behind the ii ww, it's not only about lager camps. Therefore I started digging into docu films about that sad  period

I really enjoyed Christine Granville's story, as well as getting a different perspective on World War II that I learned in school. I'm not sure I'll be able to sit with students now and keep my mouth shut when they're reading about the war.
My one disappointment was not knowing more about what Christine actually did. Perhaps this information is classified somewhere.
I would recommend this book to people who like to read about history.

Very biographical - it was hard to get through. Skimmed most of the pages

Wow. What a book. What a woman. Amazing, fascinating story of a Polish woman who ended up spying for Great Britain during WWII, working in Eastern Europe, the Mideast, and France, against amazing odds, and having, um, multiple romances along the way. Sometimes at the same time. LOL This was a well written book--I couldn't put it down. I kept telling my husband not to bother me now, Christine just got arrested. :-) Loved it!

The premise of the book is interesting, and my book club enjoyed it. I think the story is too confusing with too many people coming in and out. There’s not a lot of narrative going on, though it’s obvious that Christine led an extraordinary life. If it was more engaging maybe I would have finished it.
