I would give this 4 and a half stars if I could, it was a really good book. I'm never disappointed with Khaled Hosseini's books, he is an excellent storyteller. The reason I didn't give it a full 5 stars is because I wish the ending had been a bit different.I don't want to give anything away so I won't get into what I didn't like, but if you read the book you can figure it out. Another thing was that there were so many characters in this book! There's so much information that each new character gives you and they are all connected in some way. I had to pause for a few minutes after each chapter so I could digest everything I'd just read. Overall this is a great book and I look forward to reading more by him

ibland blir det så genialiskt och starkt att jag inte vet vad jag ska göra av mig själv. Ibland blir det lite för mycket av det goda och alla nya karaktärer gör historien rörig. Hosseini kan konsten att beröra och provocera fram känslor med de allra enklaste orden och då och då så äkta att det gör det svårt att läsa vidare (ex. historien om Idris och hans/människans genvägar till enkelhet och egoism). Rekommenderar starkt även om jag fick en rejäl lässvacka på grund av denna.. nu behöver jag lite fluff för att bota min bokbaksmälla.
