There's a lot of back and forth between the H/h, as expected with a surprise pregnancy between two people who are virtual strangers. I wanted to strangle them more than once. When they finally figure their themselves out, it was a nice payoff

This book is a trip!
I’m not gonna put any spoilers in here but I will tell you that this book isn’t the easiest story to read. It’s worth it in the end but if you aren’t up for a roller coaster of craziness this book isn’t for you! Don’t get me wrong I freaking loved Thai book but even I had to put it down a couple of times to collect my thoughts. This is probably one the most angsty books i have ever read. This whole series is but this one took it to another level. I swear Nicola enjoys torturing us readers. Lake and Sara have to be the most dysfunctional pair to ever grace the papers of a book. The spend more time pushing each other away the being together. But after it’s all said and done their happy ending is one of the best in the series. So if you are up for it jump on this crazy train and hang in for dear life! I’m glad I did!

Misleading Lake by Nicola Jane is book 6 in the Kings Reapers series. While it isn't my favorite of the series, it is still pretty good. The plot does have action, steamy romance, twists and suspense. Everything you want in a good plot but somehow the story feel a little hollow for me. I was caught off guard by a few of the twists though. I like when the story isn't predictable.
Some things I didn't like: the way Lake cheated on Sara. I know they were supposed to be casual but he rubbed another woman in her face too often. The back and forth between Lake and Sara got on my nerves too. Relationships are hard but these two couldn't manage true conversation until lives were at risk.
This story could be considered a stand alone but it is definitely better read as a series. One bonus - we did get an introduction to the new King, Storm. Lake's sister Charlotte has set her eyes on him. Misleading Lake isn't a book I would rush to read but it is enjoyable and as always I love catching up with the other Kings.
