ARC by NetGalley and the publisher.
Keira our MC can see spirits and lives in a groundskeepers cottage near a cemetery. Keira is accompanied by her friends Mason, Zoe and her cat, Daisy. Keira receives an invitation to dinner at Dane Crispin’s mysterious decrepit mansion, this is where the plot begins to pick up.
This book was a fairly fast read and I was able to finish it in one sitting. It had so many spooky elements that I’ve been craving lately with ghosts, graveyards, and haunted houses! While I haven’t read the previous installments to The Gravekeeper series I have read Darcy Coates’ From Below and enjoyed her writing style in that so I was pleasantly surprised when this also had that same great style. I definitely will be picking up the rest of the books in this series as I didn’t feel you necessarily have to read them prior to follow along with the plot. Though the story does cover some darker subject matter it didn’t feel as heavy as it could have. My favorite aspect of this book by far was the relationships between the main characters and their friendship with one another, they had such playful easy banter that it felt very genuine and real. I really enjoyed the setting of the town, Blightly and look forward to seeing more of that in future installments. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a cozy gothic horror book.

Darcy Coates’ series, this is the third one and so far the best of them! I didn’t realize it was a series when I requested it, so I did a speed read on the first two to catch up, although you don’t necessarily need to. I’m excited for more though, Darcy is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

I know it’s almost love season, but I love creepy all year long. This series is like if horror met a cozy and had a baby. A creepy ghost series that doesn’t get to gory. And the vibe reminds me of the Sookie Stackhouse series but ghosts instead of vampires and werewolves. With a little bit of humor at times.

The Twisted Dead is book 3 in the series and while there is an ongoing storyline, I think the author does a good job of clueing the reader in to not be lost. But seriously after you’ve read one you’ll want to read the rest.

In addition to the ghosts this book also depicts good friends and Freida selflessly trying to help people. I loved getting a little more of Mason’s backstory and Zoe is forever cracking me up.

I can’t wait to see where this story goes in book 4, which is out in February.

This Gravekeeper book may be my favorite so far in the series! We follow Keira and her friends as they continue to find out the truth about Keira's past. Darcy is so great at tying horror elements into this book, as well as writing some downright funny bits. I'm looking forward to seeing where this series will go and as always, Darcy Coates is an auto read author for me.

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Press for this ARC!

3/5 stars - This was an enjoyable read about friends, ghosts, and some nefarious company trying to do bad things to people and ghosts alike. I had not read the previous two in this series, but I had no problems jumping right into this one. I'm sure I'd have more backstory about Kiera had I read the others, but I enjoyed it even on its own. Loved the humor that Zoe and Kiera bring to the dialog, laughed out loud several times. I'll look forward to more, for sure!

Possibly my fave of the series so far. Less horror more thriller but with ghosts

4.5 stars rounded up to 5!

And here I was thinking that Darcy's Black Winter series was my favorite...but after finishing the third book in the Gravekeepers series I'm wondering if that is still true. This was such a fantastic continuation of the series and, similar to the Ravenous Dead, I loved getting to know our three main characters even more-which is something I don't say often as I normally prefer more plot focused books. Keira, Mason and Zoe are some of my all-time favorite characters and I genuinely wish I could be part of their friend group.

This book was similar to the first two in the series as it had very creepy graveyard vibes that were horrifying but felt like the very best kind, and different from them in the storylines that were explored. We find out the reason Mason left medical school, why Dane Crispin really locks himself away in his house, and discover more about Keira's mysterious past.

I loved this book and cannot wait for the next installment. Queen Darcy continues her reign!

I really enjoyed the first two books in this series but this one was the best by far! We are still following the story of Keira with her ability to see ghosts who is trying to help a local whilst also trying to learn more about the people hunting her and the reason why. She is accompanied by her two friends Zoe and Mason. It was nice to finally get some answers about Keira’s past and the organization who were hunting her which has been a main question in the past two books. We also got to learn more about Mason’s time at Med school and Zoe’s mother which was nice. There was so much happening in the last 1/3 of the book so of which is not resolved and will lead into the next two books. Darcy Coates is one of my favourite authors and I can’t wait for book 4!
