Another phenomenal addition to the Gravekeeper series. We learn more about the history of Blighty and it's infamous family the Crispins, all the while Keira gets ever closer to unraveling the secrets of her past and the organization that is hunting her down gets closer than ever before to recapturing her.
Part heartwarming part thrilling, all amazing.

So....I enjoyed this book and will be buying the rest in the series as they come out. We're finally seeing progress to the main underlying story and getting some answers....however I'm not jumping for joy for the answers that we are getting. We're finally figuring out why Keira is running for her life and I honestly find the explanation as little silly. Which honestly that may be where the author is going with this series cause I mean we do have a cookey conspiracy theorist who doesn't take really anything seriously and a goth guy who's honestly a total mood with how dower he is. The climax in this book also feels rushed and a bit silly. Just imagining it from Keira's friends perspective gives me the giggles. Overall I like this series and this book, I just didn't go into it expecting to suspend my disbelief so so much. And I also didn't expected the silly aspects as much when the first book starts off so tense.

I liked the relationship between Keira, Mason, and Zoe definitely a great found family. The description of the ghost made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I would say about 3/4 thru the book there is a section that really didn't fit the storyline. Supposedly this is the last book in the trilogy but the ending left you on a cliffhanger. I will definitely read the author's backlist and future titles will be purchased. If you are just starting to read horror and aren't sure you like the gory stuff this trilogy would be a good place to start.

Thank you to NetGalley and Poisoned Pen Press for an e-arc in exchange for an honest review. 4.25 stars rounding down to 4 for GoodReads. This was absolutely my favorite in the series so far! This one really dives into more of the people who are after the protagonist and how she ended up where she is. This is also the first of the series that I have physically read and I think it helped a lot with my enjoyment. I like Keira but for me it’s really the side characters that shined through on this one, Dane and Zoe in particular. I’m pretty excited to pick up the next one as this one left me with questions I am dying to get answered. I struggled with this series at first but by this third book I think it’s really taking on a life of its own and establishing what it is. So much action and adventure was packed into this one that I didn’t realize I was seventy percent of the way through until I looked down and checked! I think this is a perfect, light horror series for young adult readers. Because despite the lack of marketing (I am confused as to whether this is supposed to be adult or YA), this is totally a young adult series. I remember reading plenty of series like this in middle school and early high school and I believe readers of that age will enjoy this series much more. Overall, I am excited to have enjoyed my time with this one and being back in the Gravekeeper series.

I absolutely love the Gravekeeper series! I have been waiting for this third installment for quite some time. I’m so glad I finally read it. This book series is so good, and it keeps getting better. I love that with each book, the characters become more in depth and more relatable. You can’t help but love them. The main plot from the first book has continued, and ties into the plot of this book, so there’s a ton going on. A lot of questions get answered. The entire book is exciting and thrilling right off the bat. The book’s atmosphere is so creepy, it’ll give you the chills. And there’s so much more action in this one for Keira and the gang. This was such a fun and creepy read. I highly recommend this for fans of YA horror and paranormal books. I cannot wait for the 4th book!
