Exactly what I needed. The cutest, sweetest, easiest read of the year. The accents are great too!

it was cute! an easy read, low stakes, cozy book. good for someone coming out of a reading rut. my favorite thing was how seen i felt as an adult woman with adhd - i’ve never heard another person characterize the traits and thought patterns so well!

This book was so cute!! I absolutely adored Raine and Jack and their dynamic. I thought the ADHD/OCD rep was really well done—it was central to their characters and their struggles in a way that felt so kind and compassionate. I loved how they helped each other through their challenges, both in terms of mental illness and otherwise. Their banter was so lovely and fun, and this was a rare occasion where I didn't feel like the quirky main character was completely overdone. Raine wasn't adorkable; she was a mess. But she was also properly silly and delightful in a way that was completely matched in Jack. There was a moment in chapter two when I fully laughed out loud, and that confirmed for me that this book was something special. I think I need to go read everything else Sarah Gruner Ruiz has written now.

This is my second time with this book and I listened to the audiobook both times and the performances from the two readers were phenomenal.

Not my favorite out of the series, but I absolutely LOVED the ADHD and OCD rep.

The Irish accent and chaotic thoughts of Jack's POV really made this book more enjoyable for me.

There were a few things that I wanted to be more well developed - like Jack going to therapy and getting better, and Reina missing him more while she traveled.

I also wanted a bit more information on what happened with her sister. Maybe there will be another book soon, but in the meantime I was left wanting more.

The Ollie and Nina cameos were perfection!

I loved this one! I have never felt more represented in a book character’s personality quirks as I did with Raine. I loved seeing how Jack and Raine communicated about their challenges and quirks and held space for each other, accommodating each other without making it a big deal. I really identified with a lot of the feelings Raine has about being too much, oversharing, talking too much, making a mess, overestimating and taking on too much - and then experiencing the shame that comes with those feelings. Sarah (author) does a great job at illustrating this and how the ADHD brain works. I can’t say much about OCD, but I have heard about the types of obsessive thoughts Jack was experiencing, so it seems like she also illustrates this very well.
There wasn’t a ton of spice, a bit more of a slow burn, but the one big spicy scene was
