Pros: Reestablishes the story and events so far in a seamless manner. Reintroduces and familiarizes key players. Courageously lays out the elements and proceedings of a trial instead of glossing over events which plays to this reader's particular interest. Sincere commentary of social economies of class and the justice system.

Cons: Character dynamics and central character's opinions of them keep flip-flopping every five seconds.

A character 'flaw' receives an instant fix.

A transitory novel that doesn't progress the plot very far.

Personal irritation: Anything to do with the romance drama chips away at any sympathy I have for her history and pride of her ambition.
