LET ME IN UNI😭😭😭💔💔💔💔
slow-paced

I skimmed the last half of the book. Perhaps I am simply not the audience for it.
The authors seemed to operate on the assumption that capitalism is, at worst, neutral. Perhaps that there are just a few bad agents in the system.
It also felt like it could have been 200 pages shorter and convey the same ideas.
I sure hope it is actually the final edition.

Pretty much the essential introductory book to applying behavioural insights to public policy. Tight and concise. An added bonus is the fact that the content addresses the most common objections in a sensible manner.

I expect this book to expand its effects in the future as the old models are rather mouldy and start to stink.

I really liked this one! I bit turned off when the authors announced that they were prescribing a theory of liberal paternalism - I was hoping the book would approach from a more neutral territory and focus on the data - but it turned out to work quite well.

I loved all the examples throughout that really drove their principles home. The writing style was engaging and interesting. It definitely makes me think about others positions when proposing things to me and how I can better position things that I need to present.

Overall, a really interesting read that I'd recommend.

Thought provoking, entertaining.

I finally finished! This was a good read for the first half of the book but then he kept repeating himself in various ways so it was very slow going - I probably could have skimmed it and moved faster. I enjoyed his practical approach to psychology.

Definitely a dense read and a little outdated (plus the section on privatizing marriage raised a lot more questions for me than it answered), but overall a very interesting way to look at the world and understand decision making.
In the process of reading this book, I both joined (and successfully completed) my first StepBet (it won't be my last) and set up automatic monthly Roth IRA contributions.

I have a feeling the basic principles of this book will stick with me for a long time, hence the four stars.

Read Harder 2019 - A business book

Pretty good, but perhaps over emphasising its possibilities.
informative reflective medium-paced

I lost this book on the airplane, but I read about 80% and I liked what I read. The sections on choice architecture and retirement savings were of particular interest to me. I have the sense that I could apply some of the lessons in this book, but I'm not quite sure how yet.
