I like the notion they talk about of libertarian paternalism. The book got me thinking about ways to encourage desired behaviors in my job & in life. I like the idea of making things easy. The main idea reminds me a little bit of Made To Stick, which essentially tackles the same topic but in a more engaging way.
They seem to take political stances on various social topics, which I don’t love my books to do, unless that’s its intended purpose. I don’t necessarily agree with all of the examples they shares of ways to incorporate nudges into different arenas. Like the climate change chapter, or a comment they make at one point about gun control and people having ‘slippery slope phobia’. Indeed, their stance on slippery slopes, almost that they’re not really a thing, seems wrong headed.
All in all, I liked the book, may recommend it to someone, but ultimately I don’t feel offers much new info if you’ve read other behavioral science classics like Thinking Fast & Slow or any of a few books by Chip & Dan Heath.

I listened to this book when I was in the mood for listening to pop psychology. It took me a really long time to finish. I had to check it out a half a dozen times. It was heavier on the Econ than I thought it would be and I was already familiar with most of the psychology research from contemporary books so it didn't catch my interest as much as similar books. This would probably be a better choice for those interested in economics more than psychology. Plus, it is starting to get slightly dated.

Unfortunately, this book felt like a chore to finish at times. However, I think the authors did a good job of condensing the material and connecting different research/cases into a general theme.
