I never write reviews but this book……. I just have to. If i could give this book a zero i would have. The plot was stupid. It was poorly written. There was so much smut and it wasn’t even well written smut. Ember was so annoying and insufferable. Also how many times can a girl t-talk l-like this? Like every time she talked she was tripping over her words. The guys were all stupid, not one person in that whole group had an ounce of critical thinking skills. Also there’s glorification of SH and SA and it was truly just not good. The only reason i finished it was so i could count it for my reading challenge.

this book was a lot. I would def read the trigger warning before going in. I’m not normally someone who is triggered by dark romance but this book was close to my limit in terms of the emotional toll it takes. All that to say, this was so heartbreaking yet so beautiful. I wanted to scream, laugh, cry all at the same time most of the book. It made smile, it made me sad. The emotional impact of this book was so tolling but so rewarding. I was so happy to see their happily ever after.

Insta love storyline, with lots of spicy scenes and good although definitely not realistic plotline. You do want to strangle the MMC at points for not standing up for MFC, but as the author states the book is about them learning to overcome their own trauma for her.
Pay attention to content warnings as some of the main plot points can be very triggering and possibly off putting depending on reading preferences.

I found the book to be enjoyable, however, I did feel that the pacing was somewhat accelerated. As a result, certain aspects felt rushed and lacked the level of detail that I, as a reader, would have appreciated.
