This book was such a great and fun retelling of Cinderella where the evil stepmother (Odette) is the villain. Odette seems to have a history of gathering stepchildren and on her fourth marriage she ends up with her stepdaughter, Ember, who she promises to her son and 3 stepsons. Of course the minute the boys meet Ember its love and first sight.
