Naomi and Vasily are easily my favorite couple from the series. The manner in which they accepted each other was lovely. Not to mention how hilarious they were together.

I reread this book a couple times. I still love it everytime I read it. I love how Naomi is portrayed and I really feel like the authors nailed her. My cousin has Asperger's and I really saw how Naomi's behaviours/thought processes are similar to his. I also loved Vasily. He was exactly what Naomi needed and he was so good to her. He really understood her and it was clear she trusted him so much. They are definitely one of my favourite couples.

There are a few parts in this book that could seem kind of - silly? - maybe is how you'd describe it.
Spoiler The sex club scenes specifically.
Explaining those to my boyfriend was kind of ridiculous. But I think within the context of the book they fit well and don't seem like overkill.

I'll probably reread this again when I have run out of other Russian mob stories to read!!

I do think this series is one of the few where the shifting POVS work for me. And with that I mean one chapter hers, then his, then hers etc. So a lot of shifting povs going on.

Vasily was a sociopath. Truly. He kills without remorse, and well there are more things. He is a killer for the Russian mafia and he wants to take over.

Naomi is an aspie, with lots of issues to that. Touching, food, germs, other people. She is a computer genius and her hacking has been used by a criminal organization, and then she gets kidnapped by Vasily.

So two people that do not like to be touched. Two people with different agendas (though she can easily follow his). And he slowly learns to understand her quirks.

Though I must say that some of the things she did, really? I would not do that. You sure got over some things fast, scientific experiments and all that, still, no. I get that it is supposed to be sexy and all that. But for her, I had difficulties with this one thing.

Moving on from that, this was one sexy book. They are such opposites, but at the same time they are so alike.

There is constant danger from other criminals and I do hope he can bring change to his organization, cos they suck. Seriously euwww, down with the old icky guard, in with the new.

Interesting.

When I first met Naomi, it was when Daniel was trying to fulfill a number of favours from different sorts of people to rescue her and Reagan. A few facts about her stood out: she was a grown woman with an Asperger’s Syndrome, and she too, was abducted to be sold off as a sex slave. But because of her quick thinking, she managed to entice her captors with a different kind of skill set: she’s a computer hacker. She can hack into anything and can steal billions of money while in the comfort of her own prison.

When she was rescued by Daniel, Reagan and Vasily, I was more than relieved to find out that she was relatively unharmed. She used her idiosyncrasies to her full advantage. Instead of being a hindrance, she played her part and kept herself safe. She doesn’t like germs; she doesn’t like being touched, she doesn’t like noises. She has a whole slew of peculiarities that had nothing to do with being an OCD. It was the way her mind works. She was honest and candid about her feelings, observations and emotions. Most of the time, she left me laughing even though most of the situations she found herself in did not seem like a comedy hour at the club.

I have one particular point of interest with Vasily and Naomi’s relationship; in that I wanted to know how it would develop. Truthfully, it wasn’t something that have been explored in my past experience. Considering all the things that can set her off, I don’t know how she would react if sex, being the very worst kind of intrusion there is, will be a part of their relationship. I also am not sure if Clare’s depiction of her reactions would be as realistic. The truth is, I don’t know. In some instances, I feel like Vasily was taking advantage of a person with mental disorder and I can’t quite reconcile my feelings with that. But in other instances, Naomi acts and speaks just like a normal woman would. This is where I feel like the syndrome comes and goes to facilitate the relationship between characters.

Despite that major hurdle, I was completely enamoured with this couple. Vasily took care of Naomi, loved her and made sure she’s always in her comfort zone. Which is the best thing anyone can do with someone of her affliction. Because of that, this book is probably my favourite in this series.

There are no words to describe exactly how much I loved this book. I knew from page one that it was going to be something epic but I didn't know just how great it would be or how much I'd truly love it or the fact that it would be one of my fave reads for the year, even one of my fave reads of all time.

There isn't anything I didn't love about this book. I loved the characters, Naomi is my favorite heroine I've read so far this year, I can see myself being friends with someone like her. What can I say about Vasily, my Volk *swoon* my love for him is strong. I loved the main characters by themselves and as a unit. I loved their anomalies, quirks and contrasts. Reading their story made me rethink everything I know about love. I love books that make me view things in a different light this book did that and I know these characters and their story will stay with me for a very long time.

Kudos to the authors for a job well done. This is my absolute favorite of the series I've read all except one novella. I cannot wait to read the rest in the series.

i love this book because of vasily. he is so enigmatic poetic. i do not know an alpha male can be so seducing poetic.

naomi is kicking ass heroine. her autism match vasily poetic. what a perfect pair! the dead pan banter between them is very poetic and alluring.

the story is simple. but the development of the characters is very well executed.

I reviewed this book from my own personal copy!

This book was just pure genius! My first book in the Hitman series and you can read in order or standalone. I enjoyed this book so much... the wit and dry humor just had me laughing.
Naomi has Asperger syndrome...a developmental disorder affecting ability to effectively socialize and communicate. Its a mouthful and a real disorder but the author makes it impact the story in a humorous way. She was kidnapped and used by crime lord to funnel money. Left to her own dvices she finds a way to survive.
Vasily is the enforcer for the Bratva... A Russian family that is wealthy and controls certain criminal behavior. He is their wolf... He is set with a monumental task and if he succeeds they will allow him to control the family. He needs Naomi to help him finish the task. So he ruthlessly takes her, and she helps him.
It's not all hearts and flowers but the two just seem to make it work. I would definitely read more of this series. Thanks Rock Stars of Romance for making this a suggested read on your page! I loved it! Five stars of entertainment.
