This was a cute story about two people falling in love after a meet-cute at the airport. It was definitely written as a love-letter to Finland, and now I want to visit.
My only problem is that I didn’t really engage with the characters. I don’t mind instalove, but I just wasn’t into the characters as much.

I need to remember that not all books are tragic, traumatic and that bad things always happen. I spent the majority of this read enjoying the cute holiday romance expecting something horrific to happen… I’m not sure what that says about me! I am still not used to reading romance novels, but I did enjoy the hockey element (who knew!).
But for me, it was the description and setting of Helsinki in the winter that gave this book the edge - the description was absolutely gorgeous and I would absolutely love to visit!
Also, yay for rescue dogs!

From Helsinki with Love is written in English by a Finnish author (yay!) and it does an excellent job in promoting Finland to readers all over the world. There are all the Finnish Christmas traditions, Santa, Lapland, delicious food aaaand some spice! Oh and the book has HOCKEY in it!
From Helsinki with Love has very real characters (main and side), the sweetest plot and my kind of humour. If you are a romance lover, hockey fan, christmas people, Finn or someone interested in Finland (who wouldn’t be?!?) read this book.

This was a delightful surprise for me! 📚❤️ As a newcomer to both the author's work and the world of hockey romance, I found this book to be a perfect blend of cute and spicy moments. 🌶️ The holiday setting added an extra layer of warmth and charm to the story.
Jasper, the suspended hockey player seeking refuge in Finland, and Vivian, the unlucky traveler stranded in a foreign country, make an unlikely pair that keeps you hooked from the start. 😍
One of the highlights for me was the glimpse into Finnish culture woven into the narrative. 🇫🇮 Learning about the traditions and experiencing the holiday celebrations with the characters added a unique and enjoyable dimension to the plot.
The combined romance with a touch of humor, makes the characters relatable and lovable.

I received this book as an ARC and it was SO CUTE. This was a very sweet (and a little bit spicy!) story with very low angst and drama. It was a total comfort read. The perfect way to kickoff my holiday reading. The MMC was fantastic book boyfriend material. I would definitely recommend!
