There With You was a wonderful sequel to Here With Me and focuses on another of the beloved Adair family -- single father, Thane Adair; and notoriously impulsive, Regan Penhaligon.
I'll admit I was a bit nervous about this one because Regan did not come across well in book one, and while I knew Young would turn my opinion around, I was still hesitant to get into Regan's POV. I'm really glad I did though because after a rough start, I definitely started to like her by around the 30% mark. She grew on me and I was cheering for her to have a successful journey.
I definitely knew I'd like Thane and was very excited for his story after meeting him in the first book. I love a gruff, responsible, and protective hero. It's my catnip. Getting to see his POV and witness his relationship with his family (including children) and friends was a delight.
Samantha Young's writing is, as always, so easy to get lost in. Right from the first word, I was hooked into this story and engrossed in all of the characters' lives. She writes beautifully and clearly, giving explanations for who the characters are and why they act the way they do. While this series would be better read in order, there is enough information about the events of book one so that readers won't get lost if they do read out of order. I definitely recommend reading book one first though so readers can have fun discovering who the stalker is! Overall, another great story by the lovely Samantha Young.
