What a terrible book.
Alice and her boyfriend move into a closed community, The Circle, and she is eager to make lots of friends. However, Alice discovers the previous owner of the house she is living in was murdered and she becomes very obsessed with solving this murder.
Socializing is very important to Alice. Seriously, 80-95% of this book is Alice having tea/lunch/dinner with her neighbors and friends. The other 20% suspecting everyone around to be the murderer.
I hated Alice. She was needy, judgey, and really nosey. I can't imagine living next to her.

Been in a reading slump for so long and this book has been the thing I needed! I love a psychological thriller and I finished this book in a few hours, the twists were amazing and it’s such a fast paced book if you’ve been in a bit of a slump too. 10/10 would recommend
Another stellar novel by B.A. Paris. I haven’t read all of her books yet, but this just might be my favorite. I’m always fascinated by the secrets a neighborhood can have, and the Circle is no different. So many twists and turns that had me guessing and re-evaluating until the bitter end.
I suprisingly quite enjoyed this book, even though I thought I'd swore off of reading any more domestic suspense/thrillers!
This is my first B.A. Paris book, and apart from a few parts where the story felt repetitive, I loved the writing style and the suspense throughout. The MC was thinking of everyone as the murderer (no more details because spoilers) and tbh so was I, so that was fun

I absolutely love every novel I have read by B.A. Paris, and The Therapist is no exception. I love books that grab you from the start and this one did just that! Review below ⬇️
Alice and Leo have not been dating long, but things seem to be moving in the right direction, so when Leo asks Alice to move in with him, she says yes! They buy a house in London in a neighborhood called The Circle. The Circle is a gated community with twelve houses built around a square. Alice and Leo live in number 6.
Alice decides to get to know the neighbors and invites them all over for drinks. Leo isn't happy about it, but goes along. Alice gets strange vibes from some of the ladies and doesn't understand why. One neighbor arrives late and Alice assumes he is Tim, a neighbor who was having trouble finding a babysitter. Everyone has a good time, and Alice is starting to feel more at home until she finds out that the man she let into her house isn't Tim, and that Leo neglected to tell her that a lady had been murdered in their house and that was why he was able to get the house so cheap. What follows is more deceptions, more lies and eventually Alice figures out that no one is as they seem and she can't decide who to trust. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and though I figured out what was actually going on, it was great fun seeing how the author tied everything up! 4⭐
Thank you to Netgalley, St Martin's Press and B.A. Paris for the eARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
