it was...interesting...far far far different from any other s.e. hinton book i have ever read...and i've read them all...definitely a non-linear story...which was a little jarring from time to time

what a mess. is this a first draft?

Totally unexpected.

This didn’t turn out the way I expected it to at the beginning, or even halfway through. I really enjoyed it!

I found this book hard to get through. It should have been a fast-paced tree but I couldn't keep myself focused on it. it was, overall, a decent story. I just feel like the way it was told wasn't all that great, mostly because the wording was confusing.

This book has no plot. I kept reading thinking something would happen, there would be a reason to the entire thing. There wasn’t. It was terrible and pointless. It was just a rambling, dysfunctional vampire bro-mance. The end was ridiculous and it did not make any sense, but that was fitting for this book. Don’t read this book if you value literature.

Like most people I picked this book up because I loved S.E. Hinton's books in elementary and middle school. The beginning of this book was wonderful and then she introduced a vampire. I started to loose interest in the middle of the book, but I forced myself to continue. I'm very glad I did, the unlikely relationship of Jaime and Greenville was very interesting. I still love the way Hinton writes and how the story unfolds, I just wasn't thrilled about the vampire aspect. The ending of the story was a surprise but it was a nice surprise.
