Well done Mrs Shen! This is surly one kind of story and I enjoyed every minute with Grace and West! You created something truly beautiful and unique with telling their story. This book is so very different from everything I've read from you and you blew my mind! You've outdone yourself here!

Playing With Fire is a very touching lovestory of two Phoenixes rising from their ashes, going through their fires together.

Grace and West catch your heart in a beat, you can't help but fall for both, scarred souls. You constantly want to hug them, to know them in real life, want to be their friends and definitely want some of their strength to keep going, to keep rising from the ashes.

This book will surprise you, touch you and play every emotional nerve in your body and mind!

Thanks you so much for giving Grace and West a voice. I will cherish them forever in my heart!

“Because at the end of the day, we are all just phoenixes, rising from our own ashes, taking flight to an unknown destination, our wingtips forged by flames.”

Ok I’ve been living under a rock because I just finished this yesterday and I’m in love with this book. Give me Texas, give me angst, give me scarred, give me love. I am here for alllll that. It’s been quite sometime since I’ve read a good college book and this did not disappoint. It may see like one of those fluffy angsty books and by all means *it is* but it’s sooo much more than that. A sick grandmother that hit close to home for me, a broken motorcycle fighter and a girl who wants to be invisible to everything and everyone. Please do yourself a favor and go read this!

Cuz byyyeee I’ll be buying all the LJ SHEIN books now.

This book wrecked me in such a beautiful way. Two broken people find their way to each other in this small town. Grace was once loved and everyone's favorite girl. She was the popular girl in school with a leading role in theater. One unexpected night her life changed in the worst possible way and her life was never the same. She is now the invisible girl that no one wants to be friends with. West is just as broken as her with so many secrets from his past. He is drawn to her and can’t figure out why. He manages to make his way into her life whether she likes it or not. This book was beyond amazing, sexy, and raw. West is hot as hell and his bad boy vibe is all I need in my life. This might be my favorite L.J. Shen books!!!
