I enjoyed this book so much!  I loved Bailey and Chase - their banter was top notch, especially with them last naming each other all over the place, and they had fantastic chemistry together.

I really liked seeing the both of them grow as the story progressed.  Bailey was timid to start off with and would rather give in than create conflict.  I loved seeing her come into herself & treat herself with respect.  I adored the cocky reformed playboy Chase.  He comes across as a total player at the start, but we quickly see his soft side start to show when he & Bailey meet, and then it’s all downhill from there for him!

I did find this to be a little longer than it needed to be, but I did enjoy the extended epilogue.  I’m so looking forward to reading more by Avery Keelan!

Some parts of this book were done so well and others felt so empty.

I felt like the scandal should have been a running background thing and been a much bigger thing that it was. It felt like once it happened it was all skimmed over completely.

Also Bailey, god love her, but I wish I knew more about this girl and HER interests. I’m aware they’re somewhat related to Hockey but I want to know more about her articles, feedback she was given etc. We were told so much about feedback Chase was given from his coach and his school, and heard nothing about Bailey.

The money thing being referenced throughout the book didn’t really make it any deeper. Also, Baileys “accident” really didn’t seem it needed to be kept so secretive.

In the end, did I eat this book alive? Yes, because when you mention hockey romance, I’ll read it. But I do think it could have been a slower burn. And without the slow burn, it felt the author added random things to keep the book going to get to 600 pages.

Very so-so. I got bored a lot. Even skipped some (most) of their sexy times.

It was good. Not my favorite, but their development was cute. The story felt bland, but I do enjoy a hockey romance.
